I used this awesome tutorial to figure out some stuff (http://sahabiha.deviantart.com/gallery/37038124#/d4yt4y6). Want to keep working on it today! I figured out that the brush tool makes an EXCELLENT size reference. Basically, you measure the pixel size in the original photograph using a round brush radius, and use that brush to draw the stroke in your photograph, or simply take note of its size. Also, using the grid with this technique is extremely helpful.
